GC/MS Pump down problem

I can say I am newbie on GC/MS system. System consists of Agilent 7980A and Agilent 5975C. There was problems with carrier gas EPC - leaking septum of heated inlet. Before replacing septum, helium purifier and filter was also replaced.
And after I started system (firstly GC, next MSD), selected pump down where I set temperatures MS Source to 250 C, MS Quad to 200 C. After two hours, MSD is showing "pump down..." on the screen; vacuum status shows: Turbo - on, turbo speed - 100%, MS source - 100 C, MS Quad - 100. Why source and quad temperature does not reach setted point? Desired vacuum level is not reached?

It's by design. During "pump down" temperatures are set at 100 deg. When pump down is finished you may increase temperatures.

Indeed. You want to avoid heating your MS if the vacuum is not well established - damage can occur at >100°C in the presence of oxygen.

Once the MS is pumped down, if you change view from Vacuum control to Instrument control view it should ask if you want to apply the proper temperatures. If you hit Apply and OK the heaters will begin to increase above 100C. It will also ask if you switch method and the temps are not where they should be.
