Getting data out of EZChrom

Hello,

our company is currently evaluating EZChrom v. 3.1.7.
I would used it in combination with an Agilent 3000 Micro GC.

Now I would like to perform a simple task:

Getting the measured gas components of x repetitions and perform some calculations.

What is the best way to get this data in my existing .Net Program?
Hi,

Many ways to do this. Just some suggestions:

1. Write a Custom Parameter Script that exports the values you are interested in to a file or a database so that they can be picked up by your .NET app.
2. Use the standard ASCII Export capabilities and read the resulting file(s) in your .NET application.
3. More advanced: use the Automation Toolbox to directly control EZChrom from within your .NET app. This includes starting runs and/or sequences, starting calibrations reading back the analysis results. Down side: requires an license and more work.

Thank you for the fast reply!

I'll try your second suggestion first and hope that the exported ASCII-file will not change dramatically in future EZChrom versions...

In a second step I would also like to display the chromatograms of each channel in my program.

Do you have a suggestion for this task, too?
Where can I find more information about the "Automation Toolbox"? Is there any documentation?

Did not find anything on the agilent website.

Is the Toolbox a specific EZChrom product?

Difficult to find but it exists: http://www.chem.agilent.com/scripts/gen ... &prodcol=Y

I think it is Agilent P/N G4667AA

The documentation that comes with the product is very detailed. The Toolbox is specific to EZChrom Elite.

Easiest to do this is to let EZChrom export the chromatogram as ASCII, basically it is just an ASCII header plus a lot of numbers representing the Chromatogram. One datapoint per line. This way any programming language would be in the position to interpret this data.
