I'm looking for a particular Waters column (MS C18, PN 186000594). It's backordered at Waters, but we need it sooner. Does anyone know of any secondary vendors for Waters products that might have an item like this in their stock?

Where are you located?
I am affraid if Waters does not have it, you must find an alternative. Phenomenex claims Gemini C18 superseedes XTerra in many aspects and, at least in 2 or 3 labs in Portugal people tested and recognized it.

If he would want to replace it with another column, he could get an XBridge column from Waters. It is likely to be more similar to XTerra than a packing from another vendor, and it is an order of magnitude more stable than the Gemini packing.
There is the possibility that distributors have some columns in stock. Unfortunately, you will not find them in the countries where Waters is selling directly.

You can also try Cadenza CD C18. We have plenty of application
data - if you email me, I'd be more than happy to get you some
information.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I would consider alternate resins, but we are trying to repeat a particular method (already defined), so...
Maybe I can find a foreign distributor. (We're located in the US.)

I know that one of our foreign distributors sells Waters products, although I don't know what the agreement about reselling back to US is. You may end up with higher price (shipping, custom dues, profit for distributor, etc.)
I will email tonight with the request.

Vlad
