Chemstation software shutdown mid-run

Chemstation software for Agilent MSD 5975B and GC 6890N: D.0300611. We have been having issues with the program shutting down in the middle of a run. No error codes but machines are still running (they say acquiring sample but they are not because the software shut down) Any ideas on a starring point. We've tried shutting down and restarting but that didn't help.

When we start the software back up the chemstation log book says: startup initiated after unexpected shutdown. This appears to be happening around the same time each night.

We've had similar things happen, sometimes with error message and sometimes not. One simple thing that has often helped has been to open up the MSD Configuration software and just reconfigure the instrument.

did you disable Windows auto lock timer and screen saver?
