Dear All,

We are searching for a method of analysis of methyl methanesulfonate
(alkyl ester of Methane sulfonic acid) by GC, GC-MS, NMR or else.

Can any one help us by giving some references or method of analysis.

Thanks and Regards,

I've used GC/MS to identify Isopropylmethanesulfonate in a reaction mixture using a DB-1 30m x 0.32 x 1um. I would expect the methyl ester to behave analogously. GC/FID would be fine as well, as I only use the MS because I didn't know what it was.
