Dear All,
are the RI detectors and differential refractometric detectors ,same?
If different in what way? What is the significance of using this?
Any suggestion would be of great help
Thanks in advance

I must admit it is the first time I hear of DRD, but I would guess they are the same species...

Refractive index detectors for LC are most often differentail RI detectors. This means that they measure the difference in the refractive index of whats flowing through the sample side of the flow cell compared to whats in the the reference side of the flow cell. DRI detectors do not directly measure the refractive index of the mobile phase or sample.

Dea AA and all ,
Thanks
-Raj
