I am looking for GC method for analysis of purity of Halquinol.

I would suggest that you dissolve Halquinol into methylene chloride or into a mild silylating reagent and run the GC analysis on a Vocol or OV-17 capillary column. A OV-225 or 1701 capillary column might also be useful if you choose not to derivitize.

I would avoid PDMS or PEG type phases, the first for poor peak shape and the second because of the high temperature required for elution, unless you use very thin film capillary column.

best wishes,

Rod
if you make an ester derivitive then I would use a base deactivated Carbowax capillary.
