Software for .data and .meth Files

Hello,

at my workplace I use a Bruker GC with the according compassCDS software to evaluate the measurements. Is there a way (a software) to do the data evaluation on a different computer by opening/importing the chromatograms and their corresponding method files that were saved by the compassCDS software?

Basically I have access to the .DATA files of the chromatograms, the .TXT files of the peak integration (=results including retention time & peak areas) and the .METH file of the used method. Now I am looking for a software that can process these so I can continue my interpretation on a different computer that has no access to the compassCDS software used for the GC.

I tried OpenChrom but it seems not to be able to open .DATA files at all. UniChrom can open them but I can find no option to either import the peak integrations from the .TXT file nor to import the method file to reprocess the peak integration. That said, I don't even know if importing the method file is possible at all.

Another alternative would be to convert the .DATA files to another format and then open then in OpenChrom. Is that possible? (ASCII?)

Thanks in advance!

So the UniChrom can read - lets do the rest.
Please send us data (to unichrom at unichrom dot com) file examples with integrated peaks to improve file converter.

As far I understand from the file extension actually Bruker CDS is former Varian Galaxie which is former Diamir. Dramatic history....
