Dear all,
Hope you can help me with a question with regard to the Agilent 6890 autosampler. The autosampler model number is 7673. How can I configure it as a stand alone unit, meaning I load the sample vial on the turret, not using the tray, and/or configure it w/tray injection? Thank you !

Hello
You need to replace turret. From one adapted for tray (one smal hole from sample vial) to one with 8 holes for sample vials.
Then you can use it as standalone injector only for 8 vial.

Tomasz Kubowicz,
Thank you for your reply. However, I think you are referring other autosampler models which are later than 7673. The later models indeed have different turret for standalone or with tray...
From the manual,
http://www.meadowshplc.com/sites/defaul ... s/7673.pdf, it seems to me that 7673 doesn't require change out the turret... But I am not sure how to config it to work as stand alone....

The software is D.01. I don't see an option for ALS-Stand alone or ALS-W/tray.

OK, after reading the posts in Aug, 2014 (posted by VikiBPI-injuection without autosampler), I found the solution by simply turn off the control box, GC, shutdown Chemstation first, then unplug the tray cable. Then power up the control box, GC, start Chemstation. The autosampler tower now works as stand alone. In sequence, I didn't even have to enter 101, 102 (or 201, 202), just 1,1, 2, 2, 3, 3.... It works great!
