Agilent 490 Help

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Hi I am stuck in a unique position and no one seems to know the answer.
We used to have Varian MicroGC 4900, it was 15 years old.
Since we used the equipment for so long and when it was time to upgrade we upgraded to Agilent 490 model. It looks just like varian GC but with Agilent name on it.
We do only gas analysis.

Now the problem -
Agilent works great but it gives individual channel reports. How to create a one report with both channel data. In the Varian that came with Galaxie software they used to have an add-in called "MultiChannnel4Galaxie" It would take two channel data and merge them to give on report in mole percent.

Channel - 1 MS5A for example shows
Hydrogen - 30%
Nitrogen - 15%
Methane - 55%

Channel -2 PPU shows
CO - 98%
Ethane - 2%

Gas composition should result into 100 mole % irrespective of which columns the peaks show up in.
I would appreciate help and can answer to questions to resolve this issue.
To answer your question, we would need to know which data system you are using.

Gasman
EZChrom A04.07
I contacted Agilent Tech Support to see if they could help me - They said MultiChannel Reporting is not a feature of EZChrom and I need to buy a separate add-in
In this case from here http://www.diabloanalytical.com/product ... zreporter/

Its a shame that Agilent could not tell this upfront despite telling them the requirements ahead of time. We wasted good two weeks to figure this one out.
