Can D-7000 HSM Software Used w/ Other Manufacturer Detector

Dear Sir,
This HSM Software is a Dual Channel. Can any one Help me
know That Can it be Used with other Detectors such as Waters & Thermo.
I also want to know can it be Used For Sequencing with AutoSampler or
Just I Can Use it to Acquire Data from Other Detector & Can i Set Auto Start with Injector. i Want to Use This Software with Waters 717 Autosampler & Waters 486 Detector or TSP UV 1000 & AS 3000.

It Was Previously Used with Merck System. I will be Greatful If u Reply me as early as Possible.

You can acquire data using an A/D converter from the Waters and Thermo systems but cannot control the pump or sampler.

VWR (the successor of Merck) can probably upgrade your HSM to EZChrom which will be able to control most of the modules you mention but not the older Waters gear like the 717.

if you say that your HSM software use to be connected to a merck hitachi, does it mean that the HPLC itself is gone?

if so don't try to "recycle" your old software for questionnable partial control.
don't forget that you are also getting here in the grey area of coupled system. one support for the hardware and one for the software, with very old components unless you are an important enough lab for your support companies you will regret it in the future. it might cost you alot more in the end trying to be "cost effective".

here cheaper will be costlier by far in the en with probably very small chances of a working system.

either old or new get one entire system, don't mix in your case.

Wiht HSM you can use as "other" only one different vendor detecor detector. It depend on what interface do you have D7000 or D6000 from hitachi?
If you have D7000 you can use as a other dector only one channel.
With D7000 you need to have special d-line cable for extern start signal for waters autosampler. It is possible to run with non Hitachi detector and non Hitachi ausampler with HSM. But you have to have at least D7000 or D6000.

Tnks for ur Valuable Reply. I have some future Queries. I have D7000 ISA Slot Card. It is a Dual Channel Card. It Works With Windows NT & I have Tried Installation on Windows 2000 as it is build on Windows NT technology & Succeded Installation but i am not able to see milli volts & Aqusition Windows & when main window opens all links are disabled. i want it to be used with Waters System. Can i use the two channel.
From the infomation Supplied you can know which this card is.
