Hi,
Anyone has particular favorable brand for GPC columns? We are going to buy column for organic phase. However due to lack of experience, didn't know what barnd is more reliable, reproducible. Thanks.

In fact there are several companies selling GPC columns.

The reference in this market is TSKgel column from Tosoh Haas - at least are the most mentioned columns - and also the most expensive.

Waters also have their Ultrastyragel range, Polymer Labs with their PLgel, etc.

For price, you might consider Phemomenex Phenogel range or Jordi, from Jordi Associates.

From all above, the only one I never used was Jordi. They proved OK for what I was doing, so I think your decision would be brand awareness and cost.
Greetings,

We have been running a Phenomenex column with the guard for about 5 years. The column is tough, stable and gives very reproducible results. We are using straight methylene chloride solvent for environmental clean-up. I can recommend it.

Just about any of the mainline brands would most likely suit your needs well. I've had good luck with Waters and Toso Haas both. They are expensive, but they seem to last an awfully long time.

I have been very happy with Polymer Labs products and support. Their mixed Bed columns offer a wide MW range during analysis

We always had very good luck with the Phenogel columns from Phenomenex, and I believe the price is lower than some other brands. Our GPC ran pretty much 24/7 and the columns usually only had to be replaced once a year. We used THF as the mobile phase.
