Two detectors giving different area counts

Hi, my Varian 3600 GC with Star software was working good till a unathorized tech. came to fix problem with autosampler. Now I am getting different responses from two FID detectors. Under same conditions and methods for both, Detector A gives area counts same as before while detector B area counts are about 10 times higher than that for Detector A. What would have been changed.? Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

I would check the amplifier setting for each detector or the connections from the instrument into your data system. Sounds like a 1V output was changed to a 10V output.
I would add that if they had the same respnose before the autosampler tech worked on the unit, something happened to the autosampler.

Check for leaks if this is a purge and trap.

Check to see that the autosamplers are delivering the same amounts.

Can you make a manual injection?

Did you check the FID flows?
