LC/MS Buffer - Can we use TRIS?

Hello All,

We have developed an LC/MS compatible method...or so I thought. We are using a TRIS Buffer pH 8.0 and now I'm not so sure we can use it with LC/MS. Would someone please comment on this or suggest another buffer that can be used at pH 8?

MPaciol

Ammonium bicarbonate. Not very stable, but MS compatible.

I myself got a bit disappointed with ammonium bicarbonate at close to neutral pH. pH 8 might still work, but I recoomend to measure the pH every few hours until you are comfortable that it does not change.
