The chemical profile of cachaça, a Brazilian distilled spirit, was obtained using SPME headspace and immersion with SPME overcoated fibers. The practical aspects of overcoated SPME fibers demonstrated in this article create new opportunities for this SPME technique when applied to complex matrices.
