Ethanethiol in Propane
Posted: Wed Jan 11, 2006 4:03 pm
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had ever successfully separated ethanethiol(the added foul smelling chemical for safety) from propane. I am able to separate propane from its components: methane, ethane, buatane, isobutane. Also I am directely injecting gas into the GC if you didn't figure. But I have no luck in seeing ethanethiol by itself. I am using a Restex RX1 column using a cryovalue. I start at -60C for 5 minutes and ramp to 100C at 8C/min.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
