DMS and CH4 with FID again...

If methylated sulfur compounds could be contributing to my Ch4 peaks, is it because they breakdown upon injection into the GC, or is it possible that I am quantifying compounds other than CH4 within the same peak?
(I am getting extremely large peaks using a Shimadzu 14-A with samples taken from a salt marsh)
