I am trying to optimize the RF on a Varian Saturn 3 mass spectrometer. From 50 to 650 m/z, you want to tuning pattern to resemble a hill, going upwards at a 45 degree angle. Instead, I get a flat, horizontal line. I removed the analyzer and pulled up on the cable coming from the RF component to ensure it was making good contact with the middle electrode of the trap. I replaced the trap, pumped everything down, and the RF is still a horizontal line. Any suggestions?
