Why do generally prefer normal phase chromotography for the analysis of chiral purity :o ?

that depends on the polarity of the chiral selector. some vendors have rp columns as well.
but you can run most np chiral columns in "polar organic" mode using high concentration of acetonitrile.

Chiral compounds will have equal physical and chemical properties .Ithink they equal polarity too.

you have to have interactions with the stat. phase to get chromatography, if your substance is highly polar you may not have enough interaction with a reverse phase material, etc. So far the situation is the same as for any chromatography. For the separation of enantiomers you make use of physical differences (maybe chem. diffs have been used as well, certainly these are used extensively for separating enantiomers in normal wet chemistry in a pot) that exist toward other chiral material.
