Retention Time of Optical Isomers

Im running an Escitalopram sample via HPLC. However, the standard being used as per USP is the optical isomer "Citalopram". The column to be used is L1 4.6 x 100 mm, 3micron.

Question.

With the above given column specification, would I expect almost the same retention time if I'm going to inject both Optical isomers?

Since you're doing simple reversed-phase chromatography, Escitalopram and (R-)Citalopram won't have almost the same retention time. They will have exactly the same retention time:).
You'd need a chiral column to produce different retention times for these two.
