Viru,
A direct answer to your question would be to read "Practical HPLC Method Development" by Snyder,Kirkland and Glajch (Wiley Interscience).

Can you not get some information on applications from companies that sell HPLC columns?
What is your application?

I usually start with a PubMed search on the drug you are looking do Method development on, find an appropriate journal article, and go from there...

Besides PubMed, I also start with 1 - 3 of my favorite HPLC column manufacturers. I ask them for application notes using their columns and the compound(s) of interest.
