Dear all,

I would like to automatically export data from the Agilent Chemstation (Rev. B.04.03).

I would like to do the same as File -> Export File -> CSV File.. does (integration results), but for the whole sequence. A postrun macro that integrates the peaks (TCD and FID signals) and writes it to a CSV file. Unfortunatly I found the documentation I found on the macro capabilities of ChemStation rather not helpful.

Alternatively I am also fine with exporting the raw signals somehow (and do the integration elsewhere). Even accessing directly the .d files (I know that they are folders...) would be fine with me (but so far I couldn't find any proper documentation of the "file format"...).

I am fine with everything that saves me from exporting everything manually (for hours)...

Thanks for you input! I kept struggling for quite some time with this already...

Best,
Andreas
As far i remember - there is LIMS-connection settings in chemstation.ini
Not sure which document describes this magic, but it exists.

You enable XML export and specify the directory where export would go. XML would contain the integration results.

Or you can use UniChrom console converter
http://unichrom.com/chrom/ucce.shtml

./ucc infile.ch outfile.csv
Hello,

thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I was only partially successful. I enabled XML and the manual export works, however automatic exporting does not work for some reason.

Also, in the "Sequence Parameters" dialog I have enabled .csv and .xls outputs for the individual runs, but there is no file created.

Doing the same thing manually in the offline mode (there I see no way of doing it for the entire sequence...) for each run individually works again.

It seems there is some missconfiguration on my system?

Thanks!

Best,
Andreas
Hello,

let me add: I've just made a weird observation:

When doing a single run (Run Control -> Sample Info -> Run Method), the XML output file is automatically created. When running a sequence, it's not.

I don't get what's happening here...

I am grateful for any comments...

Best,
Andreas
