How to avoid TFA caused damage to the MS?
Can we do post addition to neutralize TFA?

Don't worry about this - TFA (0.01-0.1%v in eluent) is not damage the ion source (API-MS).

Sorry. I was not talking about physical damage. I was referring to ion suppression and its lingering in the ion source for a long time.

You can use acetic acid or n-propionic acid (1:5 - 1:10 TFA:AA/PA). For example, 0.1%v TFA in eluent - post column addition must be 0.5-1%v AcOH at ratio 1:1 (Eluent flow : Addition flow). We usually just use appropriate eluent composition (0.05%v TFA and 0.5%v AA in water as "B", etc.).

Best way to avoid suppression of ionization by TFA - don't use TFA :)
