Just had a new Clarus GC 680 installed. The engineers created working method, report and sequence files, but when I created a new method/report/sequence files from these original files for our application it was creating empty result files (0 kb's) but raw data files were ok. Now the files the engineer created are producing empty result files too. This is on Windows 7.

Anyone have any ideas? I am stuck.
Not sure if you're still getting empty result files but I figured I'd chime in. What happens when you try to open the empty result files in TC Results? If you open the corresponding raw files in TC Chromatograms do you see peaks? Have you tried reprocessing the sequence to see if it'll generate good result files. Also check to see what method file is being used on the result files, review the details in the "Process" particulary optional reports and user programs. TC can be a bit buggy, just take a look at the knownbugs.pdf file in C:\PenExe\TcWS\Ver6.3.0

I've had one or two empty result files in the past but it's usually been b/c I cancelled a run as it was beginning or somehow interrupted the TC data flow by accidentally leaving graphic editor open while the current run needed it but usually TC creates a duplicate copy and names it w/ a timestamp suffix.

You might get a clue as to what's going on if you look into C:\PenExe\TcWS\Ver6.3.0\Log should be list of any errors TC encountered. You'll need to look at when the empty result files were run to try and sync w/ any errors that might be listed.
