Perkin Elmer Totalchrom Lock Out

Totalchrom gives the following error when I try to log in:

Totalchrom Navigator:
Unable to read system configuration
Check Totalchrom Process Account

The LC system did not finish an overnight run; so, I cancelled the run and cleared the setup. It would not allow manual purging of the pump or other functions; so, I restarted the LC system, control box, and computer. Now, Totalchrom will not let me logon.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. My work is dead in the water without this LC system.

For anyone who may have the same problem in the future, here is what I found out thanks to a Perkin Elmer guru.

Totalchrom has a "TC Process" account in MS Windows. Totalchrom and other processes use this account to function.

Somehow, this account either never had or was removed from the Windows Administrators user group. It had "Limited" instead of "Administrator" privileges.

Also, either the account password was never enabled or was removed. Apparently, having a password is necessary. I set the password so that it would not expire in the future.

So far, I can at least access Totalchrom again.

I hope this helps.
