hello
i just startet a study work about kojic acid and have some problems finding good conditions for analysing. at the moment i use a c18 colum and uv detector + a mobile phase consist of acetonitril and weak phosphoric acid ( as sugested in a paper from Manosroi International Journal of Pharmaceutics 298 (2005) 13–25 )
but at the moment i have not good results.
does anyone have an idea?

other question: i wanna try a amino column. any hints for a newbie, what to keep in mind? i already heard that a slight acidfication or pure organic solvent while storage may help to prevent autohydrolysis.

If you go with an amino column you should probably get one on a polymeric phase since they are pH stable, such as Shodex Asahipak.

jep i think that would be better. i didnt find informations about the ph stability of the silica based amino column from shodex.
