GC Acquisition-waiting for remote start

Hi,
We are using using GCMS agilent system. After clicking on the run sequence, it gives the following window
GC Acquisition
Waiting for remote start
To manually override click start run

The sequence given is not taken automatically, it stops at every sample. Can somebody please let me know how to fix this? Thanks.

Which system and software? I know this "error" in Chemstation, it hapens when you forget to assign the injection source in the method

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. We have an agilent GC-MS (7890A/5975C). Enhanced Chemstation
MSD Chemstation E.02.00.493.
To add to the main message, even after clicking on the START RUN, the autosampler and carousel are not responding, while the GC is taking the instructions and showing the runtime as if the sample is running.

Hello

You need to specify injector source in method. Go to "instrument" - "injection source" and pick GC autosampler

Thanks for the reply. It was useful. We have also re-checked the remote cable connections between GC and MS.
