I need help. I have a varian hplc with galaxie software, a UV/Vis and florescence detector but suddenly I cannot switch on the UV detector from the software on the PC, because the icons for the UV and Vis detector wouldn't come up.It is only written that the D2 lamp off, Vis lamp not fitted on the overview screen. The software is installed on desktop pc not the hand held.

As the UV (325) communicates by Ethernet with the computer, I recommend to check, if some security program (firewall, malware scanner) is blocking the communication.

I am having the same issue with my HPLC - were you able to fix the situation? My system had been running fine and one day I turned it on and I got "vis lamp not fitted"
