Hi,
I'm working with a Shimadzu CGMS and the column started bleeding. Some people advised me to detach the CG from the MS so I could bake the column without saturating the detector, but my doubt is: How to detach de chromatograph from the MS?
Or, do you have any other suggestion?

If anybody can help, I would appreciate a lot!
Thanks!
Hi,
What they are saying is: vent the MS, unscrew the column from the MS transfer line, ( leave the column
in the GC oven, and connected to the Inlet under pressure)

Put a blanking ferrule and nut on the MS transfer line, so no contamination enters the MS.

Fixing column bleed, is a completely different topic.

kind regards
