I am purchasing a new Agilent system (7890,5977) and have the choice of MassHunter or Chemstation to be installed. I currently work with Chemstation E.02.01. What are the pros and cons of either staying with Chemstation, or upgrading to MassHunter?

If your familiar with chemstation, stay on that.

Hello,
Agilent has MassHunter with a Chemstation Ver F.00.00 Data Analysis, for Windows 7.
https://www.agilent.com/en-us/products/ ... station-da
I am upgrading our system to this configuration, as I want all staff to be trained and familiar
with one data acquisition interface, as the LCMS and GCQQQ are using MassHunter B.07.
So when I task somebody to run a sequence, they can at least acquire the data.
As dblux_ mentioned, I think it is also possible to install the Mass Hunter "Quant Browser" and "Qual Browser" on the same PC.
and as dr_bahram1977 eluted to, you can retain the familiarity of Chemstation DA whilst deciding
if you want to tranistion to "Quant Browser" and/or "Qual Browser"
IMHO, it may be an idea to negotiate an extra MassHunter licence with the new 5977 purchase, so that if
you decide to update the old E.02.01 GCMSD for consistency, you can.
regards
