Hi,
I am trying to set up a Waters 1525 binary pump under Masslynx 4.1. I tried connect to the pump using an Agilent GPIB card as well as a NI GPIB card, but i couldn't get a connection with either of them.
(Couldn't find the Instruments using the IO Softwares!) I set the pump to different GPIB adresses but had no luck with that as well.

Is it possible to connect the 1525 pumps using an Agilent GPIB card? We have a spare one availabe whereas the NI GPIB card is normally used in another setup.

I can't find the right pump when configuring the inlet devices in Masslynx 4.1, there is no 1525 pump available. Are there special drivers i have to install first?

Has anybody suffered from the same problems?

Cheers

Bastian
The default GPIB card for Waters systems is the NI with the Agilent HPIB card used for Agilent systems such as the 1100. You can use the Agilent (82350x probably?) by running the Agilent drivers under the NI setup. See Natl. Inst site for details on how to do so when configuring. The 1525 Binary (Not single) is covered in Masslynx v4.1 however you'll have to run the ICOP program setup to load the drivers. Look for ICOP Components sub-directory copied over to your system drive during Masslynx installation (can't remember where it sticks it).
