Empower pro interface not working

We have Empower build 1154 with our old HPLC. When we use the system with the Quickstart interface, everything is working good. But, when I try to open the Pro interface, the first panel appear with six buttons (run sample; browse project; configure system; process data; review data; print data). However, neither of these buttons work. I click on them but nothing happen. The software doesn't seems crashed, since I can move the windows, or even close it. It is like if something was blocking the button. I tried to right click on the button, and there is a context menu that appeared which is exactly the same context menu than in internet explorer. I have checked in the internet option to blocked scripts, but it didn't fixed it.

Do someone have a suggestion?!
Has the pro interface been disallowed under the user type (are you logged in correctly)?
Are you using the correct user type?

If not using a stand-alone fat client, please advise what version you are using.
Thanks,
DR

The user (named 'system') has Administrator privileges. I have verified in the user configuration panel that it do have access to the pro interface. The system is a fat stand-alone client.

To better understand where I am stuck, you can check at this image:

As I said, clicking in any part of the windows don't do anything!
That's a new one on me. Have you called Waters?

Has your Internet Explorer installation been hacked up? This menu sort of depends on a fair amount of HTML (I think).

just to be said, in the print screen above, no user is logged in...
is this by purpose and only as examplary picture?
I would like to try some tweaking with Internet Explorer, but one thing I fear is to screw completely the computer. Since it is a second hand system, we do not have the installation disk. I have been told that once, the computer failed, so they succeed to restore the system by using a ghost of the previous hard drive (hopefully, it was not the hard drive that failed).

Concerning the fact that no user is logged in, it was not by purpose. The panel just before, Empower ask for log in credential. I used the same credential than for the quickstart interface. As I said, this user have administrator privileges. So it seems that the log in panel don't transfer the information to the next panel (the one pictured). I will try to call waters, but my colleagues say that they did this before and that they have been answered that Empower build 1154 is no longer supported. We do not want to buy a new software package for that old HPLC.

By the way, do someone still have a CD copy of the software that he would agree to send us a copy? I don't know about the legality of this, but since it is no longer supported, I imagine that it would be fair.

Edit: I have ran the file integrity script, all files are supposed to be ok.
