Waters 490E Detector

Anyone still using a Waters 490E detector? We recently resurrected one, but now have encountered problems.

Last March we resurrected the detector from storage. Last used some 10-15 years ago.
Worked fine for several months but occasionally would take several tries to pass calibration test (Error Code 1). In addition noticed that detector gradually became less sensitive.
Then, in August system would not calibrate (failed). Purchased and installed new lamp. System works now but still will not pass calibration (Error Code 1).
Manual indicates it could be bad analog board, optics not aligned, order filter problem, or defective optics.

Or a corroded mirror, or solarized cell windows. I would change the cell windows first, then make sure the alignment of the flow cell and the lamp are good when reinstalling. If that fails, probably have to take the whole thing apart.
