Chromeleon 6.80 running Shimadzu LC-10 syst w/manual injecto

I cannot figure out how to configure Chromeleon 6.80 such that it runs a Shimadzu LC with a Rheodyne manual injector. Ever since I configured "Remote Injection" into the time base, the program gives me all kinds of errors. Upon turn of the valve, it starts the run (retention time clock), but it does not start gradient or acquisition. All attempts to start acquisition manually fail because a run is in progress. If I start a batch, the program ignores all "Wait" and "Inject" commands and starts gradient without injection. By pushing buttons in random order I got various permutations of starting acquisition, gradient, and retention time clock, but I could never get them started at the same time. Does anyone have a working program file or a piece of advice?

I would guess its all about the triggers. You probably need to connect the instruments such that the connector on the valve triggers one of the units. Not sure which. But then you would also need to trigger the other units, for example to start data collections. For the LC10 systems there are some connectors for external triggers that you might need to set.
I inherited a Shimdzu system set up on Shimadzu software and it had some 2 wire cables to perfom some triggers. We moved it over to Chromeleon and it doesnt now need these.
If you look on the back some units will have some 2 wire connectors which you could utilise?
