Good Afternoon,
A guy recently asked after Knauer HPLC systems...please, has anyone on this forum come across them previously, and can weigh in on their experience with this manufacturer?
My thanks to you all, in advance.

Dear Matt
Knauer is a family owned relatively small company which manufactures HPLC systems since years.
I do have only little hans-on experience on these modules. But I hear a lot of positive feed back from colleagues using Knauer systems.
Its high German quality manufacturing with a lot of in-house development history.
Best regards
Markus

I've heard that Knauer is a boutique HPLC manufacturer which is famous for reliability and extremely small footprint of the instruments. Since they are not strongly represented in the USA, I would expect possible issues with support and spare parts, but this aspect depends mostly on people who support the instruments. I saw Knauer instruments in a lab where people developed simulated moving bed methods, which means that those people were experts in HPLC hardware.
