Hi all

I am noticing my 7683 tray arm is not moving smoothly. The tray arm rotates fine and the gripper goes up and down fine and it works overall but the arm when it moves forward and especially back from the tower or whereever makes a dragging crunching noise like it is overcoming some sort of drag/friction. Any idea how I can fix it?

Lubrication of the rods may help. (no need to disassembly - access from underneath)
thanks a few droplets of wd-40 rubbed arround with a cotton swab on the rods and it is moving a lot smoother with less crunching over the plastic teeth.
is there anything WD40 can't fix!!!
I use it on the needle guide spring on Agilent towers.
