I'm trying to separate compounds from the reaction of acetylation of glycerol, triacetin, diacetin and monoacetin. I'm going to buy a new column for my HPLC and I don't know if I should get a PFP (Pentafluorophenyl) or a Cyano. I talked to one of my teachers and she thinks that glycerol might get stuck in the PFP, so she thinks that the cyano might be a better choice. But I think that the PFP will give me a better separation. What do you guys think?
Thanks!
