Hi,

We've just added Agilent 1100 DAD (G1315A) to our LC-MS (Agilent 1100 stack, with SCIEX API 2000, all controlled by Analyst 1.4.2 software).

Everything looks great in the configuration, method set-up, etc., but when I try to run a method using the DAD, the status of the DAD changes to "Wait" in the software. The injection happens and the method runs, but no data file is created and the software stays in pre-run mode, unresponsive.

Has anyone else encountered similar issues with Analyst software controlling an Agilent DAD?

Thanks,
Ben

Eventually figured this out - I was attempting to run as a standalone HPLC system (I had no need for MS for this particular method), and set the method not to use the MS. It turns out Analyst doesn't start any acquisition if the MS isn't set to acquire. So, I set up a dummy MS method and everything was fine.
