Hi
I was analysing sugar in honey on HPLC RI detector. I got good results previously when I start the analysis but after some time I faced a problem on the baseline drift and noise so I couldn't integrate the peaks. Do you have any Sugestion please. I spent more than a week by backflushing the column with Isopropanol but the problem was not solved.
A little bit more information would be nice. Do you use a NH3 column? You have A) a temperature problem and B) a degassing problem. Your column is not the problem. Before start flush your reference cell with fresh MP. Good luck

Hi Hawine,

More info is always better...seems a good week for RI troubles. Here's a link to look at, Gerhard's very likely on to what the trouble is:

Temperature and mobile phase equilibration are usual suspects with RI detection. Best Wishes!

Yes Gerhard Kratz I'm using NH2 Column size: 4.6x250mm, 5 micron and thank you for your reply I'm trying the suggesion you gave me.
Thank you all for the link you share for me and the advice you gave me it helped a lot. The system become very stable I'm able to do my analysis now.
