Hi,
I want to use a chloroform/MeOH phase for lipid analysis in LC-MS. Is there a difference in using chloroform stabilised by amylenes or ethanol? (Is there a rule to use one and not the other) And if there is anyone how knows a vendor that can supply me with chloroform with MS grade in Europe, or something like chloroform MS grade doesn't exisit should I use chloroform as pure as I can?

I would recommend using dichloromethane (less toxic), rather than chloroform.

Whichever is used, I suspect that you may be able to see [M + Cl]- in the -ve ion mode if the +ve ion mode is inconclusive for MW determination.
