Hi,

we are using the Agilent G1701EA GC/MSD ChemStation software. We installed the software on a new computer. The software itself works properly, but there is one thing in the settings I would like to change, but I don't know how.

On the old computer our current method (which was in use) has been opened when we started the software. On our new computer the method DEFAULT opens. So I had to click through the method configuration everytime when I open the software.

Does anyone know, how I can avoid this? When the software is started, I want a particular method to be opened (or the last one which was used).

Thanks for your help!
It should auto load the last method. That info is stored in c:programs/msdchem/1/lui.ini under $meth... If you change it there it may just fix it at that point but why it doesn't always load the last method, I wouldn't know.
I have had that backfire when the default method was corrupted on a reinstall and caused the MS to lock up and crash. Then I had to rename a good method as "default."
open data analysis, Enviroquant. go to FILE, EDA Configuration, and select Autoload Method/DataFile. It should open with the last method used and last datafile...

hope this helps.
