Thank you, and varossf for the feedback. The patch was included by Microsoft in their regular security Winows update cycle, which is really bad since it does not provide the end user to manually stop the patch from downloading. Opting out of the upgrade is the solution. I will stop the automatic Windows update for sure. Seeing that the EZChrom Elite version I am using is an old one, ca 2009. I guess I am stock with using Windows 7 for awhile.??? The patch offers you the upgrade, you don't need to take it![]()
No vendor will support Windows 10 from the day of issue and if you do not know how to return your system to Windows 7 in the event of an issue I suggest you do not take the upgrade. Many operators have sucessfully upgrade to a newer o/s without issues provided the drivers are still compatible etc. there is no reason that an upgrade to 10 should cause problems. It is a risk, if it works fine now why change ?
