Hi all,
We are using an Agilent 6890N and chemstation A.09.03 on windows XP. Recently the computer crashed but the hard drive is OK. I prepared a new computer with new hard drive and windows XP and installed the chemstaion software on it. As I have few information about configuring and handshaking the GC and chemstation, how can I use from the old data to solve this issue?
Many thanks in advance.
Hello

You need to set up IP address for Chemstation - you can do it from start - Agilent - Chemstation - configuration editor. Check IP adress on GC display (instrument - communication) and set it up in Chemstation configuration editor.
Then save settings and it should be ok.

If you're doing GPIB, you need to set up the 82341 or 82350 GPIB card that you transferred to the new computer. After it's set up you should be able to simply copy in Methods, Sequences, and Data files from the old hard drive.
