SPME on Shimadzu AOC 5000

I have been using SPME on Agilent and Varian systems for a long while but just started working on a Shimadzu AOC 5000. I only use a 1cm fiber type. The CTC parameters in the GCSolutions are a bit strange, in terms of needle penetration, fiber penetration and injection penetration. Logically you would assume that even on different GC systems with CTC ( or rebadged for each manufacture), that the needle penetration and fiber penetration measurements would be the same (mm), but that the injection penetration would be specific for each GC as the injection port liners are different.
Firstly has some got the optimal injection penetration depth in mm for a SPME liner on a GC2014 plus? to save me working it out manually.
Secondly am I right in assuming that the needle penetration and fiber penetration depth should be the same on CTC coupled to different GC instruments?
I realize that the SPME manual recommends a 22mm vial penetration for a 1 cm fiber and gives 33mm for needle penetration. Anyone use different measurements and if so why?
