Chemstation Enhanced Data Analysis - Reprocessing menu gray

I am using chemstation for the first time in nearly 15 years and the learning curve is steep again.

I have been reprocessing data in enhanced data analysis but suddenly the options under "Reprocess" are all grayed out.

Perhaps someone can tell me the easiest way to accomplish what i need to do...

I want to run samples using an acquisition method and then save the data files to a different location and reprocess them using multiple different methods (weighted vs. unweighted and different number of calibration points). ultimately i need to print reports for each set. I thought it would be easier to make multiple copies of the data and save each in their own folder so that i don't have to recalculate them each time.

So, what i was doing is making folders named "Weighted" and "unweighted" and putting the data folders (on my desktop for now), acquisition sequence, acquisition method and analysis method in each one. Then i would open the sequence file, change the method to the analysis method and the run the sequence. But now all the options under "reprocess" seem to be unavailable.

Thanks in advance.

Toxi - ya' better post what revision of Chemstation you are using.

thank you! I had it written down and tried to put it in the subject but it didn't fit and then i forgot. I added it to the end of my post.
I suggest making an offline GCMS instrument configuration with enhanced Data Analysis, eg Instrument 2.
and then click on the new Instrument 2 Data Analysis icon, and see if the reprocessing menu is available.
As the configuration file may become corrupted.

kind regards

Thanks Alex. I am using offline analysis. The menu was available yesterday morning. I did something and it was gone. I have no idea what I did. I will try making a new offline instrument and see if that works.
So, it appears i don't actually know how to install offline analysis. I tried using the regular installation disk but it says it wants to remove my installed copy. Since I am merely a consultant in the lab I am very nervous to do this. I have contacted the IT people to see if they can help. If anyone has any other ideas on how to get "Reprocessing" back I'd love to hear them!
You don't need to use the CD, you click on the Config icon, and click on instrument 2, and set it up
as an offline GCMS ( you need Windows Admin privileges )
an eg is on page 92 of http://www.chem.agilent.com/Library/use ... 035258.pdf

I presume you want to use the reprocessing, as you have setup in the sequence table the calibration settings,
otherwise you can use in the DA, the Tools -> Do List functionality, which will applying the current method, to all the
data files selected. ( I suggest you setup a PDF printer first, and make it default until you get the idea of what
happens when you use the Do List function)

Kind regards
Alex
