System config error for Shimadzu Lite and Windows home ed.

Hi All, Have just had the techs do an install of shimadzu lite LC onto a windows seven home edition PC op system.
This is to run a SCL 10 AT VP series controller and pump etc.
It seems there was an issue in that the system was supposed to have windows seven pro installed or XP pro.
Not home edition and it was figured this was the issue.
One beep from the controller is good news. It means connected. They were getting two beeps from controller when trying to connect the computer lab solutions software.
Seemingly because the newer lab solutions did not match the older firmware number in the HPLC units. ( 5.3).
This was somehow rectified yesterday.
However upon computer start up today, when trying to connect software to HPLC units it is doing two beeps again and giving a 2206 error notice.
- The specified system configuration does not match the hardware.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Change to windows seven pro or XP pro perhaps? Thanks.

Turns out there is an issue with the pump, the software has been changed over to windows seven PRO 64 bit. The remote light on the pump does not come on, so the controller is not seeing the pump upon start up. To the right of the words "PUMP 1" on controller display it does not display the pump type and version.
This is being rectified in the mean time by scrolling through using function key until "ADRES" is displayed and altering it from number 1 to 3. The remote orange light then comes on.

Now the system controller SCL 10AVP has a screen display problem. Last night prior to shut down it made an alarm noise. Today it wouldnt start correctly. It does not start up showing any lettering. Just a blank screen but the screen has power. Just no black letters. It is not a contrast problem.
No control buttons are responsive. The unit does not smell of burn.

Does anyone know what the lithium ion battery on the main board inside the SCL 10AVP system controller is for?
Does it retain memory? Maybe the battery is flat and that's why it cant boot up from memory and so had no words to display?
I'm at a loss for it to be anything else but surely someone here knows what the battery does. The manual does not say and I cant find a service manual.

The screen now has horizontal lines in it also. This seems not uncommon on units for sale on ebay. This is surely a repair job now. The battery was changed, the fuses were changed. Both outputs of the transformer were tested. The back of the unit has writing suggesting 110V and 230-240Volt. Does this mean that the units can be used under both voltages of different countries merely by changing the fuses from 2 to 4 amp?
Usually equipment that comes with this option ( transformer that can take both voltages) has a switch for the user to control which voltage they will be using.
I realise there are digital ballasts that will deal with wide ranging voltages but this is standard wire ballast. I am wondering if a USA sold model can be plugged into 230 volt supply socket.

If anyone down the track wants to know. The controller can take 110V and 240V power. Whereas the pump and injector has a switch for altering voltage to suit a countries source power. I plugged one in I bought from the USA ( ran at 110V) into 240volt wall socket and she runs fine. The fuses could need changing to suit but the latest controller wording on back of fuse holder unit says to use 250V fuses.
