Does anyone know what is the exact composition of filament wire used in Varian (2000, 1200) GC/MS. I know it is some Rhenium alloy.
Iridium if i remember correctly.

Tomasz,
I know it is Rhenium alloy. Not pure Rh. Do you know other metals from alloy and it's percentages?
Hello

As far as I rember in Saturn 2000 there is pure rhenium filament.
I know that you can have:
-pure rhenium
-rhenium/yttria
I'm not sure if you can get information about metal percentage.

If I remember correctly, most of the yttria filaments are rhenium filaments with a yttria coating.

It is pure rhenium for the Saturn 2000. We refurb them and get our material from SIS.
