Low pressure inlet liner

What is a low pressure inlet liner? What makes it a low pressure liner and what are the benefits of using one? Thank you for your replies.

Actually they are low pressure drop liners.

You are correct, that's the description I'm talking about. I'm familiar with terms like split, splitless, dual taper....etc but I do not know what a low pressure drop liner is or how it's different from other liners????

Aren't they the ones designed for split mode, with a glass bead at the base to provide clearence for split flow with minimal restriction ?
