hello,

get problem w/ the RID detector (Agilent G1362A), once the temp goes up by switching the method, it is hard to lower the temp down. ( it takes more than 3hrs to drop down from 35->30c ) do I suppose to turn off heater at this time (tried but no use) or keep the method setting of "Optical Unit temp is 30C", or it is just a HW issue for RID Temp controller? thank you!

That's a good question. I don't know if that RID has any cooling capacity; if it doesn't, and being well-insulated, just might take that long to drop temperature.

Our 1050 column heater is like that: can heat, but can only cool through heat loss.

Its normal. It doesn't have peltier element as JetStream column heater for example

seems a HW issue, after changing the RID fan, it works (and can drop down to certain lower degrees!) but only hold for two weeks! doubt the board probelm, need to call service again!
