multiple head space extraction issues

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I am performing multiple head space extractions for residual hydrocarbons and I am having issues with occasional failing correlation coefficients. Does anyone have any suggestions at what I can look at that is causing this problem?

I have ruled out vials, caps, crimping, septa, and leaks in the system
Welcome to the forum.

With only what you tell us there is a nearly infinite list of possible problems. To shorten the list to sensible possibilities we need to know all your analytical conditions, what kind of samples you are running, and what exactly the problem is - "failing correlation co-efficients" suggests poor linearity, but that can be due to all sorts of deviations from a straight line.

The more you tell us the more we can help you. The more you don't tell us, the more we can't help you.
